Bryant Islands


Bryant Islands (48˚57'00" 125˚22'00" N end of Loudoun Channel, Barkley Sd, W side of Vancouver I). William C Bryant pre-empted land in this vicinity, W of Macoah Passage, in 1892. William Cullen Bryant (1871–1922) and his father, William Charles Bryant (1838–1895), are listed in early census and voters lists as Victoria farriers. The islands were formerly thought to be a single feature and were known as Table It and Table I before being renamed by the hydrographic service in 1934....
