Bruin Bay


Bruin Bay (54˚10'00" 132˚59'00" NW side of Graham I, opposite Langara I, QCI). Named by officers of HMS Virago, on survey duty in these waters in 1853, after a large bear that came down to the beach opposite their ship. Crew members tried to shoot the animal but were unsuccessful.
