Brodeur Island

Brodeur Island (52˚01'00" 128˚17'00" In the Admiral Group, SW of Bella Bella). Rear Adm Victor Gabriel Brodeur (1892–1976) was born at Beloeil, Que. He was among the first group of cadets to graduate from the Royal Naval College of Canada in 1911, and he commanded a number of RCN destroyers over his career, including the Champlain (1929–30), Skeena (1931–32, 1937–38), Fraser (1937) and Ottawa (1938).
