Brentzen Rock


Brentzen Rock (53˚52'00" 128˚43'00" NE side of Douglas Channel, S of Kitimat). Fridjof “Fritz” Brentzen (1866–1946) was a teacher at Kitamaat Mission around the turn of the 19th century and helped found the mission’s well-known brass band. His father, Hans Peter Brentzen, from Oslo, had originally come to BC in the mid-1850s to work for the HBC but became an independent fur trader at Kitimat.
