Bremner Islet


Bremner Islet (51˚06'00" 127˚41'00" Just W of Bremner Point), Bremner Point (51˚06'00" 127˚40'00" S end of Burnett Bay, SE of Cape Caution, Queen Charlotte Sd). John Bremner (1837–98), a native of Caithness, Scotland, was an RN paymaster at the naval dockyard in Esquimalt in the 1860s. In 1865 he married Annie Louise Skinner, a daughter of Thomas Skinner, manager of Constance Cove Farm, one of four farms established around Victoria by the Puget’s Sd Agricultural Co, an HBC subsidiary....
