Blinkhorn Peninsula


Blinkhorn Peninsula (50˚33'00" 126˚47'00" Just E of Telegraph Cove, NE side of Vancouver I). Thomas Blinkhorn (1806–56), from Huntingdonshire, arrived in BC from England in 1851 on the HBC supply ship Tory. His wife, Ann (1804–84, née Beeton), and teenaged niece Martha Cheney accompanied him. Together with trader Capt James Cooper, they established 160-ha Bilston Farm at Metchosin.
