Blackburn Peninsula (52˚06'00" 131˚00'00" NE side of Kunghit I, S of Moresby I, QCI). Capt David O “Lucky” Blackburn, originally from NS, became a fisherman on the Columbia R and then a master and owner of ships. According to QCI historian Kathleen Dalzell, he had a reputation as a risk taker, someone who might overload his vessel or leave the safety of port in all kinds of rough weather.
