Billington Rocks


Billington Rocks (52˚10'00" 131˚20'00" SE of Nagas Point, SW end of Moresby I, QCI). Capt Billington was master of the Pacific Whaling Co’s tender Gray in the early 1920s. The vessel carried supplies and whaling products between the company’s five whaling stations and W coast ports, 1910–39, and was also chartered out to various shipping firms. Named in 1962 by the hydrographic service.
