Billings Bay


Billings Bay (49˚42'00" 124˚12'00" NW side of Nelson I, mouth of Jervis Inlet, NW of Vancouver), Billings Point (Just NE of Billings Spit), Billings Spit (48˚22'00" 123˚41'00" NE end of Sooke Hbr, between Sooke Hbr and Sooke Basin, S end of Vancouver I). William Thomas Billings served as assistant surgeon aboard HMS Herald in 1846 when that vessel, under Capt Henry Kellett, surveyed Victoria Hbr and the adjacent waters of Juan de Fuca Str. Billings retired in 1874 as a staff surgeon....
