Bensins Island


Bensins Island (52˚13'00" 126˚55'00" In S Bentinck Arm, SW of Bella Coola). The name is a corruption of the surname of Archibald Menzies, the RN assistant surgeon and naturalist who accompanied Capt George Vancouver on his 1792–94 PNW explorations (see Menzies Bay).
