Bennett Bay


Bennett Bay (48˚51'00" 123˚14'00" E side of Mayne I, Gulf Is). The Bennett family, whose members homesteaded and farmed beside the bay, were Mayne I pioneers, arriving about 1880. Thomas Bennett (1845–1924), a native of Ireland, and his Scottish wife, Elsie (1846–1926), immigrated to Canada with two children in 1878.
