Begg Point


Begg Point (52˚33'00" 128˚26'00" SW end of Roderick I, opposite Klemtu Passage, NW of Bella Bella). Born in Scotland, journalist Alexander Begg (1825–1905) became an immigration commissioner for Ont and, later, BC and influenced many of his countrymen to head W. While his overly ambitious colonization schemes failed (as did his attempts to influence the boundary dispute between Canada and Alaska), he did manage to write History of British Columbia from Its Earliest Discovery to the Present...
