Baudre Point


Baudre Point (53˚05'00" 128˚32'00" Entrance to Khutze Inlet, E of Princess Royal I). Rev Julien Michel Baudre, a French Canadian missionary and member of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate (OMI), was the first principal of the Roman Catholic boys’ school established in Victoria in 1858. This institution later became St Louis College, which opened in a new building in 1864 with 40 pupils.
