Apodaca Cove


Apodaca Cove (49 ̊21'00" 123 ̊20'00" E side of Bowen I, Howe Sd, NW of Vancouver). Named in 1954 to keep alive a reference to the survey work of Spanish navigator José Narváez, who explored this area in 1791 in the Santa Saturnina. Narváez gave the name Islas de Apodaca to Bowen I and Keats I, in honour of Sebastián Ruiz de Apodaca (1747–1818), a notable Spanish adm.
