Anthony Island


Anthony Island (52 ̊05'44" 131 ̊13'12" W of Kunghit I, S of Moresby I, QCI). Venerable Anthony Denny, the archdeacon of an Irish diocese who knew nothing of BC, had his name attached to this important Haida site because his son, Edward Denny, happened to be a midshipman aboard HMS Virago on an 1853 survey of the region (see Denny Rocks).
