Alma Russell Islands


Alma Russell Islands (48˚57'00" 125˚12'00" NW side of Imperial Eagle Channel, Barkley Sd, W side of Vancouver I). Formerly known as Narrow Is and Julia Is, these features were renamed by regional hydrographer Henri Parizeau in 1935. Alma Russell (1873–1964), born at Douglastown, NB, moved with her family to Victoria in the 1880s.
