Albert Islet


Albert Islet (52˚18'05" 127˚55'55" E side of Johnson Channel off NE end of Cunningham I, NE of Bella Bella). After coastal steamship Prince Albert, formerly the Bruno, built in 1892 in England. In 1910, as the first vessel in the GTP Coast Steamship Co fleet (later part of the CNR), it was put on the QCI run. Capt Cecil Wearmouth was the first master, followed by Capt Duncan Mackenzie. Only 63 m in length, and with little in the way of luxury, the Prince Albert had a daredevil life, running...
