Temlaxham


TEMLAXHAM (also known as Tam Lax Aamid, or Dimlahamid, or Prairie Town) was an ancient village of the TSIMISHIAN people located on the SKEENA R near the present site of HAZELTON. According to Tsimshian accounts, it was destroyed in a great flood and the inhabitants dispersed to other communities.
