Taft

TAFT, a CPR siding 32 km west of REVELSTOKE, was named after the manager of the Hood Lumber Co, which was engaged in RWY LOGGING on nearby Crazy Crk. The site was the turning point for "helper" locomotives used on the steep section of rail line due east; the water tank and old station building remained intact until the 1960s.
