Sole

SOLE is a marine FLATFISH found in waters up to 300 m deep. Like other bottom-dwelling flatfish, sole is asymmetrical as an adult, with its eyes and colour (brown shades) on the right side of its body. A number of sole species dwell in BC, and 10 or more species are landed in the commercial groundfish TRAWL fishery. The most important species are Dover, rock, English and petrale sole.
