Snowshoe

SNOWSHOE, 40 km northwest of McBRIDE on the FRASER R and the CNR, was named for nearby Snowshoe Crk. Bob Allan and Fred Thrasher built a SAWMILL here in 1920 on the site of a former GRAND TRUNK PACIFIC RWY construction and engineering camp. It burned down in 1929.
