SEA ANEMONE is a marine invertebrate belonging to the phylum Cnidaria (which also includes JELLIES and CORALS). Columnar in shape and flaccid in texture, anemones almost always attach themselves to hard surfaces along the rocky coastal shoreline in the intertidal zone and subtidally to great depths.
