Premier

PREMIER, a MINING camp 15 km north of STEWART on the North Coast, was the site of one of the province's richest GOLDSILVER strikes. Discovered in about 1910, the Premier mine was in serious production from 1919 to 1953 and was still operating intermittently at the end of the 20th century.
