Pinchbeck, William


PINCHBECK, William, rancher (b 1831, England; d 31 July 1893, Williams Lake). He was 18 years old when he left England for California. There he ran a roadhouse until news of another GOLD RUSH lured him north to BC. He arrived in WILLIAMS LAKE in 1860 as a constable with Philip Nind, a gold commissioner, and settled there.
