Owen Bay


OWEN BAY is on the south side of SONORA ISLAND in the jumble of islands between VANCOUVER ISLAND and the mainland, about 200 km north of VANCOUVER. It looks across a set of rapids in Okisollo Channel at the north end of QUADRA ISLAND. It was named by a British naval survey after Frederick John Owen Evans of the Admiralty Hydrographic Office.
