Oberlander, H. Peter


OBERLANDER, H. Peter, community planner (b 1922, Vienna, Austria; d 27 Dec 2008, Vancouver). He moved to Canada in 1940, graduated in architecture from McGill Univ in 1945, then pursued graduate studies in city planning at Harvard Univ. After working as a federal public servant in Ottawa from 1948 to 1950, he moved to VANCOUVER to join the School of Architecture at UBC, where he taught until 1956, then was founding director of the School of Community and Regional Planning from 1956 to 1970....
