NORTHLAND NAVIGATION CO LTD was a marine freight service based in VANCOUVER, founded in 1942 by Capt Harry Terry as the British Columbia Steamship Co operating a single vessel. It changed its name to Northland in 1952 and began to expand its passenger service. In 1958 it took over the CANADIAN PACIFIC NAVIGATION CO steamer service on the west coast of VANCOUVER ISLAND and in 1959 bought the UNION STEAMSHIP CO.
