Monte Creek


MONTE CREEK, pop 65, is a community on the TRANS-CANADA HWY, 30 km east of KAMLOOPS in the ranching (see CATTLE INDUSTRY) High Country. Originally it was named Duck and Pringles after the pioneers Jacob Duck and Alex Pringle, who established a ranch here in 1862 and built a hotel, Brunswick House, which operated from 1884 to 1909.
