Monkman Provincial Park

MONKMAN PROVINCIAL PARK, 320 sq km, is a mountain wilderness park in the Hart Ranges on the eastern flanks of the ROCKY MTS, southwest of TUMBLER RIDGE along the Murray R. A number of interesting geological features can be seen throughout the park, and it is replete with aquamarine lakes and tumbling streams. Kinuseo Falls (69 m), on the Murray R, is one of the highest WATERFALLS in northern BC. The park is named for Alex Monkman, a homesteader in the area. See also PARKS, PROVINCIAL.
