McLean, Kenny


McLEAN, Kenny, rodeo champion (b 17 May 1939, Penticton; d 13 July 2002, Taber, AB). The king of Canadian RODEO won his first buckle in 1956 and went on to dominate Canadian bronc riding, calf roping, steer wrestling and team roping. He was Canadian saddle bronc champion 5 times (1959–61, 1968–69), all-around Canadian champion 4 times (1967–69, 1972), and in 1972 also won in calf roping and steer wrestling.
