HUNTER, Robert "Bob," journalist, "eco-warrior" (b 13 Oct 1941, St Boniface, MB; d 2 May 2005, Toronto). In the 1960s he moved west from Winnipeg, where he had worked as a reporter for the Tribune. As a columnist for the VANCOUVER SUN he became the voice of the counterculture and a strong advocate of environmentalism.
