Hungerford, George William


HUNGERFORD, George William, rower (b 2 Jan 1944, Vancouver). Raised in VANCOUVER, he attended UBC, where he joined Frank READ's UBC–VANCOUVER ROWING CLUB ROWING dynasty. Hungerford planned to go to the 1964 Tokyo Olympics as a member of the 8-man UBC team but was forced to withdraw when he came down with mononucleosis.
