Honeymoon Bay


HONEYMOON BAY, 34 km west of DUNCAN on the southeast shore of COWICHAN LK, was first settled in 1886 by Henry March, a farmer who used rafts and ox-teams to get his produce to market at Duncan, a 3-day trip. Another early local settler went to England to find a bride and never returned, but his intentions gave the bay its name.
