Hastings Park Racecourse


HASTINGS PARK RACECOURSE is a thoroughbred HORSE RACING track, formerly known as Exhibition Park, in Hastings Park on the east side of VANCOUVER. A racetrack of some kind has been on the site since 1889. From 1909 the track was operated by the Vancouver Exhibition Assoc; in 1923 it leased the half-mile (0.8-km) facility to the Westminster Thoroughbred Assoc, later the Ascot Jockey Club, owned by Sam RANDALL.
