Hamersley, Alfred St George


HAMERSLEY, Alfred St George, lawyer (b 8 Oct 1848, Oxfordshire, England; d 25 Feb 1929, Bournemouth, England). He was educated in British public schools, then went to New Zealand and practised law, fought the Maoris and apparently introduced RUGBY, one of his passions. He came to VANCOUVER in 1888.
