Fairbairn, Bruce


FAIRBAIRN, Bruce, record producer (b 30 Dec 1949, Vancouver; d 17 May 1999, Vancouver). An urban planning graduate from UBC, he joined an R&B/funk/jazz ensemble, Sunshyne, as a trumpet player in the mid-1970s. By 1976 Sunshyne had evolved into PRISM; when Prism entered the studio to record its first album, Fairbairn began his career as a record producer.
