BROWN, Robert Paul "Bob," a.k.a. Mr Baseball (b 5 July 1876, Scranton, PA; d 17 June 1962, Vancouver). He was a professional BASEBALL player in the US in 1910 when he bought the VANCOUVER Beavers of the Northwestern League and then managed and played for the team. In 1913 he built Athletic Park on the south side of FALSE CRK, the home of professional baseball in Vancouver for almost 40 years.
