BLOEDEL  () , a VANCOUVER ISLAND logging camp 16 km northwest of CAMPBELL RIVER on the south side of Menzies Bay, was named after the FOREST INDUSTRY pioneer J.H. BLOEDEL. Established in 1925, it was the terminus of an extensive RWY LOGGING operation by BLOEDEL, STEWART & WELCH Ltd for 30 years, and had a peak population of about 400.
