BANANA, Anna (Frankham), conceptual artist (b 1940, Victoria). She first used her nom d'art in 1972 when she appointed herself VICTORIA's town fool. In VANCOUVER she was active in the performance art scene and undertook various publishing and mail art projects throughout the 1970s and 1980s; in 1986 she changed her name legally.
