ANGUS, Henry Forbes "Harry," economist (b 19 Apr 1891, Victoria; d 17 Sept 1991, Vancouver). After studies at McGill and Oxford Univs and military service during WWI, he joined the economics department at UBC in 1919 and taught there with distinction for the next 37 years. He served as head of the department 1930–56 and first dean of graduate studies 1949–56.
