Historic Photos on the Web

This morning's mail brought the latest issue of the BC Historical Federation newsletter and as always it was full of references to interesting history projects and events from around the province.

For example, and much to my own shame, I was unaware of the work of the Vancouver photo historian Dudley Booth who has collected many hundreds of old photographs and made them available to look at on his website (here).

There are some wonderful shots of historic Vancouver but Booth's collection is not confined to the big city. It includes photos of Tofino fish boats, north coast cannery villages, the Gulf Islands, the Interior, and much more. Archival quality reproductions are available.
