Premier


PREMIER is the chief minister of the provincial government. He or she is named by the LT GOV but by custom is the elected leader of the political party occupying the most seats in the LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY. The premier chooses the CABINET, appoints senior public servants, advises the lt gov and establishes the agenda of the government. He or she may take on one or more cabinet portfolios as well.
